War! War! War! This word never stops ringing in my head in this present time. Nigeria is at war! I know you’d be like “what?” But yes, because War is simply the absence of peace and peace is the absence of conflicts, anxiety, suffering and violence.
Can we then say that Nigeria is free from suffering and violence?
In the year 2014, Nigeria ‘s major opponent was Ebola and has also been attacked by Boko Haram, a renown terrorist sect since the year 2009.
Undeniably, another battalion has picked up arms against this nation to fight the health and wellbeing of its inhabitants. This opponent “monkey pox” that has attacked close to seven states seems to be winning the battle, but Nay!
Nigeria is God’s own country and he that fights us, fights him.
Have you heard that “victory belongs to Jesus?” No matter how hard they try to fight. The bible confirms it in 2 chronicles 20:15 and 1 Samuel 17 : 47 that the battle is the Lord’s hence rather than fight we should “cast all our cares upon him” 1 Peter 5:7.
With this confirmation, I believe strongly in my heart that Victory is ahead! Yeah, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel! All we need is to be patient, to believe, to let go and let God fight for us, then and only then can we cry “victory is ours!”.
